AI Grammar Checker
NewFix grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style errors in your text.
What is AI Grammar Checker?
AI Grammar Checker is for the moment before you hit send: a leave email to HR, one paragraph of a college assignment, a LinkedIn post, a WhatsApp reply to a client. Paste up to 5,000 characters, click Generate, and Google Gemini returns four things: a corrected version of your text, a numbered list of the errors it found, a score out of 10, and two tips to improve. It is built for English, including the Indian English people actually write in offices. Two honest limits: it can miss mistakes, especially in long pastes, and now and then it 'fixes' a sentence into something you did not mean, so compare the corrected version with your original before you copy it. Twenty free checks a day, no signup, and we do not store what you paste.
How to use
Paste the text you want checked, up to 5,000 characters. One email or one paragraph at a time gives a sharper error list than a whole essay.
Click Generate. You get the corrected version, the numbered errors, a score out of 10 and two tips, in one block you can copy.
Compare line by line with your original. Check names, numbers, dates and every 'not' first, because those are where a wrong 'fix' costs the most.
Copy the corrected version, or just fix the listed errors in your own text if you prefer your wording.
What people use AI Grammar Checker for
An email to HR or your manager
Leave requests, a resignation, a follow-up on a pending reimbursement. These are short, they are read by someone who notices, and a stray 'informed you' versus 'inform you' is the kind of thing that sticks. Thirty seconds here is cheap.
One paragraph of an assignment at a time
Paste one paragraph, read the numbered errors, and notice what repeats. If 'subject-verb agreement' shows up in three paragraphs, that is the thing to fix in your head, not just in the file. The list is more useful than the corrected text for a student.
A LinkedIn post or a cover note
You wrote it in one go at 11 pm and it reads fine to you. It will not read fine to a recruiter at 9 am. Check it, then decide which suggestions to take; keep the sentences that sound like you.
Business messages to customers
A Meesho seller replying to a return request, a tuition teacher messaging parents about fees, a freelancer sending a quote. English is not the point of the message, but a clean message gets taken more seriously. Paste, fix, send.
Examples
You type
Dear Sir, I am writing to inform that I will be on leave from 3rd to 5th october due to my sisters marriage in Jaipur. Kindly do the needful and approve my leave. Thanking you.
You get
A corrected version with 'October' capitalised, 'sister's' with its apostrophe and 'inform you' completed, each listed in the errors section with a one-line reason. It may suggest replacing 'do the needful'; that phrase is normal in Indian offices, so that one is your call.
You type
Their going to the store and buyed items, but the shop keeper said he dont have change so we waited for ten minutes.
You get
Corrections for 'Their' to 'They're', 'buyed' to 'bought', 'dont' to 'didn't' or 'doesn't', and probably 'shopkeeper' as one word, each numbered so you can see the pattern. Notice the tense choice for 'have change'; it depends on what you meant, which is exactly why you compare before copying.
Getting better results
- •Paste one email or one paragraph, not the whole document. Shorter pastes get a more complete error list.
- •Tell it the register in the first line: 'This is a formal email to my manager' or 'This is a casual WhatsApp message'. It changes which suggestions you get.
- •Check every 'not' in the corrected version. A dropped negative flips your meaning and is easy to miss on a fast read.
- •Do not accept a rewrite that touches numbers, dates or names. Compare those first; they are the parts a reader acts on.
- •If it changes your voice too much, ask for less: start the paste with 'Fix only grammar and spelling, keep my wording.'
- •Read the two tips at the end. They tend to name the habit behind the errors, which is worth more than any single fix.

Frequently asked questions
Is it better than Grammarly?
It is a different kind of thing. There is no browser extension and no live underlining while you type; you paste, check and copy. For a quick pass over an email or a paragraph, with no account and no cost, it does the job. For a thesis you are editing over weeks with suggestions as you type, a dedicated editor fits better.
Does it check Indian English?
It generally leaves common Indian office usage alone, 'prepone', 'do the needful', 'revert', but in a formal register it may still suggest a replacement. If it changes a word you meant, keep yours. It is one reader's opinion on style, not an authority.
Can I check Hindi text?
It is built for English. If you switch to the Hindi page, the reply comes back in Devanagari and it will attempt Hindi text, but results are uneven. For polishing Hindi writing, the AI Translator tool is the better route.
Will it catch every mistake?
No. It can miss errors, and it can occasionally introduce a change that alters what you meant. The score out of 10 is the model's impression, not a standard scale. For anything that matters, a job application, a reply to a notice, a complaint letter, read the final text yourself or have a person read it too.
Is my text stored?
Your text is sent to Google Gemini to produce the correction; we do not save it on our side. Even so, do not paste passwords, OTPs, Aadhaar or bank details. Remove them, check the rest, and put them back.
